The meeting was opened by President Marty Rosenberg at 7 p.m.  The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.

Ralph Lennon gave his report on the homecoming parade.  APO will function same as last year which will require about 15 brothers from four o'clock to eight o'clock on October 23 to run the parade.  Volunteers are requested.

The Executive Committee minutes were read and accepted.

The Service Report was given by Al Bunce.  There will be a rally Friday, October 9, 1964 at 7 p.m.  Brothers interested in working please arrive at 6 p.m..  Steve Pretanik all will chairman this project.

John Goodrich, Mike Berrini, and Trennor Tilly will conduct the tours for the Boy Scouts on its Saturday, October 10, 1964 at 9 p.m.

Two brothers are requested to usher at the UT film on October 13, 1964 in Bartlett and Harvey Rosen and Kevin Downes volunteered.  Also a system of permanent head ushers for UT productions is being worked out.  Dick Morrill is chairman of what seems to be a  sound project.

Representatives from KO and JFK Memorial Committee to meet October 7 was requested of the chapter.  Jack Kooyoojian volunteered.

Steve Pretanik will represent the chapter at the organizational meeting of the Campus Blood Drive.

The Homecoming Weekend has been set up with the following chairmen: rally -- Steve Pretanik; parade -- Ralph Lennon; tailgate picnic -- Ed Skea; Concert – Jack Kooyoomjian.

There will be no brothers going to Camp Jolly this weekend for final cleanup as no one signed up.  There is a possibility that KO will be asked to usher at the next Senior Convocation.

There was a request from the Veterans Hospital in Leeds for people to go over perhaps one Sunday evening a month to visit with the patients.

Membership Report was given by John Goodrich.  There will be another pledge initiation on Thursday, October 8 in Memorial Hall at seven o'clock.

Results:     that the BX committee be instructed to prepare a figure for the recommended operating reserves to approximate 150% to 200% of the semester operating expenses.  Passed

Move:        to amend the motion concerning the budget by raising the figure for office supplies from $10-$25.  PASSED!

Move:        to amend motion concerning the budget by inserting a figure for refreshments of $10.  PASSED!

Move:        to check the budget which was submitted by Roger Crouse be adopted as amended for the fall semester 1964 to 1965.  PASSED!

Move:        to accept the resignation of Raleigh knells from the chairmanship of the ritual subcommittee of the membership committee.  PASSED!

Move:        to extend the meeting until 8:20 p.m..  DEFEATED!

Move:        the bus service be initiated for a bus from Holyoke and one from Northampton to pick up girls at Mount Holyoke College at Smith College in reasonable rate to the passengers and subsidized by APO.  PASSED!

Each meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m..
